So, another poem for the New Year

2019 will be right like rain

Promises to myself leftover

Will be met with fervor

My attitude will be sparkly

Energy at an all time high

Until it isnt and that is okay

I will kick up my fitness though

But in an effort to live long

I will not beat myself up

Though it is true I have one life

Humans have frailties

And I am riddled with them

The difference is this year

I will cherish myself

And act kindly to my spirit

I will give a swift kick at times

But will no more self-deprecate

The world is already tough

I can’t propser in negativity

No longer can I join in

Love and laughter will rule

Nonsense will be pushed away

No huge resolutions to tackle

Just me and my loved ones

Going through magical life

In stride and out but going

Together taking in this gift

Too heavenly to explain

But too precious to ignore

Living is a sweet symphony

In 2019 and beyond I will bask

Because later may not come

So the present will be adored

Like the love of a soul mate

Treasured like a newborn baby

Exalted and revered like God

No more guilt but faith galore

Commiting to real change

Within my spirit and soul

More than skin deep

A life really worth living

I have tons of education and don't use it! I am non-traditional and traditional rolled into one person. I am a Christian, but need work! I am conservative fiscally, but I could care less who someone marries. My favorite things to do are: hang out with my kid, watch movies, read, write, sing, dance, love, live life to the fullest! I love: my kid, my cat, my best guy D, God, rain, chocolate, Christmas, friends, cats, animals in general, honesty, avocados, love, Hallmark channel, iced coffee, Harry Potter, NYC, England, Italy, D.C., Paris and autumn.
