What quality do you value most in a friend?

So, what do I value in a friend?

Consistency

Loyalty

Empathy

Humor

Intelligence

Sincerity

Kindness

Honesty

It doesn’t take a lot for me to call someone a friend. If they have what I listed above, I am an instant friend and will be there through thick and thin. If they lack these things, at this point in my life, I will not waste my time. Who would want a friend who does not have these qualities?

If I have been friends with someone for 20 years or more, I may give them more grace on the consistency part. Otherwise, they have to check all of the boxes. Because I certainly do. I may not be a lot of things, but I am a good friend.
