So, maybe I’m a but jealous, but how can someone be a multi-millionaire and known worldwide by being a complete moron? The thing is, there isn’t just one of them, there are tons of them. How do I know? Because my beautiful and lovely little girl was given an iPad from my ex without my permission 2 years ago. At first, my daughter watched toy demos and diy doll crafts. I was completely fine with that. She even started her own channel where she did introduced new toys and it was so cute. And the video watching was minimal for quite a long time and then they started to replace her regular tv viewing. Then came the stupid and brain numbing shows…

When she got past the phase of the cute doll and craft channels, she started watching people play video games. Two years later I have still not been able to understand how that is even a thing. She wasn’t even that into games, and we still had our mere Wii which is hardly a gamer’s dream. But this was when Minecraft was really a big thing, so she really liked that because of the building and creating part. And she could play it on a tablet or on our laptop so she could actually learn frozen from it. And then there were more of these game loving fools. The ones who yell and scream and act like idiots and are over the top with their oh so passionate game playing. But they aren’t the problem. The real issue is these bimbos, literally, both male and female.

These people get paid money for being tan and wearing oodles of makeup and shopping and being a part of a cute couple with another person who seemingly does nothing. Then there are those who go to any length to get likes or fans, which equals ass loads of cash. One of these guys is someone whom my daughter idolizes and it makes absolutely no sense. She is a bright and talented girl. But she spends her spare time watching this guy pull pranks, break plates and piss people off. He has been in the news lately with a very controversial vlog that he did and he isn’t in big “trouble”with YouTube, in other words, he will be chill for a few months and be back to his old tricks soon. He makes a million a month from the Tube so you know they don’t want to miss out on all that cake.

Now don’t get me wrong, I can’t hate on people who come up with a gimmick that works and get paid obscene amounts of money for it. But, I guess there is a bit of envy and utter disgust because there are so many talented, hardworking and intelligent people out there and these goofs are making a mint convincing people that they are cool and worthy of their time. What happened to people going to school for acting and putting in the time and working their way up? It isn’t a a bit sickening that someone can go to Yale drama and go to countless auditions and many of these guys have never put in real work one day of their lives. It started with reality shows like the Real World and then the whole Kardashian clan. In other words, the death of true famous people and instead and the genesis of these fauxlebrities.

Now granted, I am not the audience for these people. And to many kids, these people are their world, literally. I am sure that some of these YouTubers are decent people and some of them have quite a bit of talent, especially the diy folks who are inventive and creative. These seemingly dumb people are probably actually smart business people. The fact that this content was not created for someone like me is why I haven’t been a part of the witch hunt for Logan Paul who made some bad decisions on his vlog by being incredibly insensitive and offensive.  If you haven’t heard about him than you probably do not watch the news, read online articles, or have a tween/teen. The point is, I do think that many of these folks are aggravating and just stupid and have really dumbed down and polluted what true entertainment looks like. But I am smart enough to realize that nothing lasts forever and hopefully this will die out too like the cassette tape:)
