What’s the trait you value most about yourself?
So, it is hard for me to narrow it down- not because I think I am all that. It is just there are a few things that define me at my core. I will choose one-honesty. Does it mean I am honest all of the time? Heck no.
What it does mean:
I own my faults.
I am upfront about being wrong.
I will not lie to friends to make them feel better it will only make things worse.
In my honesty I seek justice, no matter who is wrong.

I am either hated or beloved for my truth telling, and I am fine either way. I just cannot walk around living a lie or placating myself or others by being dishonest. Will I tell a little fib if a friend asks if she looks too big in a dress? Sure. Will I fudge the truth a bit if it prevents further harm to a person or situation? Yes, but rarely. Being upfront is usually the best method, because those little half truths end up revealing themselves in some way. And no one wins!
So in essence, honesty is the best policy most of the time, in my humble opinion.

I think honesty is so important in a healthy relationship. Without it you cannot truly be yourself with another person and it is possible that they may not grow in areas that they would have if you were transparent about something you or they did that you disagree with!
