So, why does the word “weekend” sound and feel like magic? It is like a silky soul song that penetrates into one’s soul. Like Natural Woman by Aretha Franklin. Or the fabulous Freddie Freeloader by Miles Davis.

The weekend makes me think of movies, pj’s, lounging, and comfort. Or maybe that is the word  fall. 🙂 I digress. I love Friday and Saturday and most of Sunday almost as much as I love cats and Iced Shaken Espresso.

Most of our weekends are Friday night dinner delivery, going out for coffee on Saturday, or having it delivered. We live near the city so we don’t want to lose our parking space.:) Sometimes, we ride to the beach an hour away or go and get groceries in the suburbs because Wegmans is our fave place. That place deserves a post of its own.

This weekend, we are vendors at this cool vintage clothing event in Brooklyn that is hip and fun. We are hyped because we made lots of cash last time, and it all comes from Ds collection of Ivy wear and his Insta following. Those who attend are creative directors, costumers for movies, and managers of couture boutiques in Manhattan and many more interesting people. Not to mention yummy coffee and mixed drinks for those who like that and a fab dj.

But that is atypical for us. We usually like to do nothing because I go out of state literally every month. The pic below is my legs all bundled up under my fave warm throw, which is also my favorite part of weekends, vegging.

As much as adventures are fun, there is nothing like being in your own space with your things, relishing in comfort. Wherever you are and whatever you do, relish in it. You earned it!
