So, you may ask yourself what a Lifestyle Blog is? Answer: It is whatever you want it to be! So many people want to be famous writers and to be considered an influencer and I totally get it. Who wouldn’t want to? It seems that those who have the most success or an easier road at least, are niche writers.
And hey, I totally adore the fact that some people have completely zeroed in on what they want to say or know where their talent lies. And, it is also a smart business move if they want to move on to novels or capitalize from their eager followers through writing what they love. Let’s face it, focused people with a plan will more likely gather steady followers/readers.
But then, there are us Lifestyle writers. We may discuss 10 different topics within a 2 week span. Some call it being unfocused or not having direction, but I call it being true to myself. I am not a subject matter expert, but know a little about a lot of things-making Lifestyle perfect for me. When it comes to writing, an author should share their true self. Or what’s the point? Knowing who you are as a person and a writer can help you to decide what the best fit is for you.
Though writing about a myriad of subjects, versus having a concise focus may be nonsensical for some, it makes sense for others. Try as we may, some of us have the most success in the nebulous and jumping from topic to topic because we just can’t fit our thoughts into a particular box and that’s okay. As long as writers respect and embrace each others differences, writing can be a great community to be a part of. And if every writer was the same, blogging would be pretty dull.

Blogging lifestyle writing is an honest , real sharing of both the ups & downs of life, the good , the bad, the ones we hope to change & & the ones we hope to keep to enrich life with meaning & purpose. It goes beyond fitness or travel . It doesn’t sugar coat . This set apart WordPress lifestyle bloggers from IG bloggers . Great read. Thanks 🙏

I totally agree with you! when I first started my blog I struggled because all the “successful” blogs I came across all said that to be successful as well you have to pick a niche and I tried but it felt so much like I was trying to push myself into a box… Overtime I learned to trust my voice and just write whatever the hell I wanted… Loved your post ❤️
