So, Paris, a poem

So, here is poem that I wrote while sitting by the Seine…

Paris in a word-

though the descriptor may

sound absurd,

The city has a charisma,

an unintentional charm

a power that is

so great it disarms,

I feel immersed across

the ages, as if Hemingway

and Monet are by my side

it’s easy to get lost in its

splendor to escape and to hide,

Paris you will be missed, you

are a friend so rare

no matter where I go,

memories of you will forever

take me there
